Pergola contractor in Dubai: shade and outdoor living, engineered and built.
Shade is what makes a Dubai garden usable. We design and build pergolas, louvred roofs and outdoor rooms that extend the time you actually spend outside.
Book the free 48h visitFrom fixed and louvred-roof pergolas to full outdoor lounges and dining areas, we build structures that are properly engineered and finished, not bolted-on afterthoughts.
Shade, lighting, power and the surrounding landscape are designed together, so the outdoor room feels like part of the home.
What a pergola contractor has to get right
A pergola is a structure before it is a feature. It carries wind load, it sits on foundations that have to suit the ground and whatever runs underneath, and a louvred roof has to shed a sudden downpour somewhere other than onto the terrace. We design the foundations, the fixings and the drainage with the structure, and in most communities the drawings go to the NOC before anything is built.
The heat does the rest. Aluminium holds its line and needs little upkeep; timber looks warmer but moves and needs care in Dubai sun, so it is detailed to shed water and specified for the climate. Near the coast every fixing is stainless.
Where the shade goes
The position is the design. We plot the sun path on your plot at the first visit and put the shade where people actually sit at four or five in the afternoon, which on a west-facing garden is rarely where the brochure puts it. Lighting, power for fans and heaters, and the connection back to the house are designed at the same time, so nothing is surface-mounted later.
Pergolas as part of the garden
Most of the pergolas we build are part of a larger garden: an outdoor room beside the pool, a majlis at the end of the lawn, a dining area next to the outdoor kitchen. Designed together, the pergola, the paving, the levels and the planting meet properly, and it is priced as its own line on the same bill of quantities.
On their own, shade structures come within one area done properly (the structure with the paving, lighting and planting around it) priced from your own plot, line by line, after the free visit rather than a number on a web page. For a smaller supply-and-fit job, a specialist pergola company is the better fit, and we would rather say so now.
Questions we get asked
Do I need approval for a pergola?
In most villa communities, yes: the community NOC with drawings, and in some cases an authority permit for the structure. We prepare and submit them as part of the job.
Aluminium or timber?
Aluminium holds its shape and needs little upkeep in Dubai heat; timber is warmer to look at but moves and needs care. We show both in Preview at full scale and price each honestly.
Can a louvred roof take rain?
Yes, if the gutters and downpipes are designed for it. We drain the roof to the garden drainage rather than onto the terrace.
Can you add lighting, fans and heaters?
Yes. Power, lighting and controls are designed with the structure so the cables are hidden and nothing is surface-mounted later.
Do you build a pergola on its own?
As part of one area done properly (the pergola with the paving, lighting and planting around it) priced from your own plot, line by line, after the free visit. For a smaller supply-and-fit job, a specialist pergola company will serve you better.

What it costs
Real rates from our own priced jobs, and what actually moves the number: the Dubai cost guide, and swimming pool costs.
When you compare quotes, compare what they include, not just the number. The cheapest price on a page is usually the one that leaves out the ground, the prep or the parts you never see, and that is where a job fails.
