Retaining and level changes are engineered, not improvised, so terraces, steps and pool surrounds hold their line on sloping or made-up ground.
The rates we lay at, published
From our own priced bills of quantities, excluding VAT: porcelain paving laid at AED 160 per square metre (the tile supplied separately, or by us at cost plus), porcelain to steps at AED 235, an interlock driveway at AED 145 and pebble or gravel areas at AED 128, with what each rate includes set out on the cost guide. Steps cost more than flat areas because almost every piece is cut.
Publishing the rate means the hardscape in any quote, ours included, can be checked line by line rather than taken as one number.

What does paving cost in Dubai?

Why does paving sink, lift or crack?
Most paving problems are base problems. If the sub-base, the falls and the drainage are wrong, no amount of good stone will save the finish. We build the base and the drainage first, then lay to a detail.
Porcelain or natural stone?
Both work, and the honest answer depends on your plot, the levels, how the area is used and the look you want. The designer specifies it after seeing the space, and either way it is priced line by line so you can compare.
Do you handle the drainage and the levels too?
Yes. Sub-base, falls and drainage are part of the hardscape scope, not a separate trade. Terraces are set to line up with the villa thresholds, and steps and edges are built to hold their line.
Can you re-pave around a pool we already have?
Yes. The coping-to-paving detail and the falls around a pool are exactly the joint that goes wrong when the pool company and the landscaper are different firms, so we draw and build them together.
Do paving works need community approval?
External works in most villa communities need a community NOC, and structures need the municipality permit. We prepare the drawings and the submissions as part of the job and do not mobilise until they are back.
